Scoring Low in English Language Tests? Have you checked your Grammar?

Throughout our experience with the English language, we have observed that most of the errors that creep into the language are because of incorrect grammar or the absence of certain rules of grammar in the construct of sentences. There may be other reasons responsible for the use of incorrect English in communication, however, most can be attributed to wrong or absence of Grammar.

To communicate it is essential that a person can express himself or herself in a precise manner which is also easily understood by people. When a message is conveyed with the correct grammar, it is easier to understand the purpose and meaning of the message. Any ambiguity in grammar may convey the message incorrectly and thus loose its relevance.

Future Perfect Education (FPE) :
We often come across sentences which have poor punctuations and have grammatical errors leading to confusion about the intent of the writer or the speaker. Such sentences, if written may have to be read again and again and still the reader may fail to understand the meaning of the same. However, spoken sentences are often lost in the communication because the listener is not able to grasp the meaning. In linguistics, Grammar is the set of structural rules which influence the composition of clauses, phrases, and words in any given language. Grammar makes it possible to form sentences such manner that the words are arranged in a manner as per laid down rules of the language to make the sentence coherent.
Better Think: we understand the role of Grammar as a foundation in English communication and therefore a great deal of stress is laid on the use of correct Grammar. Our courses in Grammar and Spoken English help students to learn the basic rules of Grammar, practice their use in communication and thereby help in improvement of the Communication skills of the students. Our belief and hard work in working on the grammar skills has been vindicated by the results once the student has applied to the improvement of Grammar as a basic start to learning English. Despite the time constraints in the classroom and their ultimate aim of doing well in the IELTS/ PTE/ TOEFL or other examination, once the students have thoroughly worked on improving upon the grammar skills, they have excelled in all tests.

However, there is no shortcut to learning English grammar and a student most of the times is required to undo the mistakes of the past before grammatically correct English can be learned.

At FPE-Better Think, our teachers, methodology and Ultra-Smart classrooms provide the students with the ability and able guidance to overcome all difficulties in improving upon their grammar and in the process acquire excellent English communication skills.
